What should a client expect from a personal trainer?

First and foremost, personal training is a service. Like all services, the clients' needs are the priority. In our industry, those needs can be as basic as helping someone transition from a very sedentary lifestyle to one with more activity or they can about helping an already-active client fine-tune their workout routine.

A good personal trainer should be knowledgeable of client goals and proper technique, aware of proper exercise prescription and have great communication skills. Fitness success is certainly the responsibility of the client, but the trainer element in the process can enable or disable good results.
