A great stretch you can do right now! Chances are, you’re reading this on your computer or on your smart phone while your head and shoulders lean forward. This posture shortens the muscles in your chest and weakens the muscles in your back, setting you up for all sorts of aches and pains that can happen to your neck, shoulders, and lower back.
You can offset all that with this stretch and you can do it right now!
Sit up tall. Place both hands behind your head and squeeze your shoulder blades by pulling your elbows behind you. Hold that position 10-30 seconds.
(For a more effective stretch, use corner walls in a room. Put your elbows against the walls while you lean your nose forward into the corner.)
