First Thing in the Morning
When you awaken in the morning, you have not eaten for eight hours or more and your body is in need of energy. Skipping breakfast leaves you famished and your body responds by burning fewer calories in order to save energy. If you are trying to lose weight or maintain your weight loss, you must eat breakfast. You'll burn more calories and will be less likely to overeat later in the day. Simple breakfast options include a smoothie made with yogurt and fruit, a bowl of whole grain cereal and skim milk, eggs and whole grain toast or even a turkey sandwich. Think simple and nutritious and think about eating first thing in the morning.
