Caffeine’s effect on our bodies at work (out)
The debate over coffee and its effects on our health rages on, citing both positive and negative aspects of ingesting caffeine. The moderate use, however, of caffeine in the sports world is unanimously deemed positive. For endurance activities, caffeine’s contribution to mental alertness, improved ability to burn fat as an energy source and motivation to work harder and faster are proven. In addition, caffeine can even help in recovery from a workout. All this said, it’s important not to overdo with caffeine. Instead, continue to rely on water for hydration and for the everyday workouts, especially those that just focus on resistance training.
