The idea to create LEAN came to Jeff after five years of experience in personal training, when he realized most of the work he was doing with his clients had very little to do with machine-based exercise. His clients were getting better results by working out with body weight, free weights and various “toys,” such as medicine balls and tubes. In fact, the results were so good he was accumulating more clients than he could handle. To accommodate the growing demand for this style of training, Jeff opened LEAN Personal Training on Cleghorn Road in 2006. The modest 1950s-style building became the new home of a modern, spacious training facility. The space served as a great beginning for LEAN and its clients for two years.

In May 2008 LEAN moved to its current, more central location in the Hill Center in Green Hills. The beautiful 2,400 square-foot space provides room to perform effective work-outs while maintaining a private atmosphere for personal instruction. The facility offers cardio machines, free weights, dual pulleys, balls, tubes, mats, and various functional training equipment, as well as a shower and towel service. Clients enjoy the proximity to Whole Foods Market and the other attractive shops in the Hill Center when they come for training.

LEAN has created a warm and friendly atmosphere in its studio. Only select trainers work with clients at LEAN, and the familiar faces make the environment inviting.
